Boossh do advocate the importance of using our healthy food and snack lists alongside Boossh Mealpaks. If you are only using Boossh Mealpaks as sole source, we recommend you do so for a weight loss blast and a break from conventional eating and in accordance with NICE guidelines, you can follow this for up to 12 weeks. It is important to use a range of Mealpaks when using as sole source, shakes and soups have higher protein than the Meals, please ensure you add your daily Milk or Yoghurt plus your one allowed snack. However if you are using the add a meal, you can use any Mealpaks.

  • Are you under 16 or over 80 years of age?
  • Are you pregnant, given birth in the past 6 weeks or breastfeeding?
  • Is your BMI under 20?
  • Do you have total lactose intolerance or a milk allergy?
  • Do you have an allergy to soya?
  • Have you ever suffered from an eating disorder, such as anorexia or bulimia?
  • Have you suffered a severe injury or undergone major surgery in the past 6 weeks?
  • Do you have a serious kidney or liver disorder?
  • Do you suffer from any psychotic illness?
  • Are you suffering from severe depression or bipolar disorder?
  • Do you have a serious heart condition?
  • Do you have porphyria?
  • Have you had myocardial infarction (MI) / Heart Attack within previous 3 months?

If you answer 'yes' to any of the questions, the only Boossh plan you can follow for weight loss is the 333 healthy eating plan. Using Mealpaks is not a suitable way for you to lose weight. If you are taking any regular medications, please ensure your see your GP.  As you lose weight, you may find your medication needs to be altered.

We do not recommend you use our Mealpak plans for weight loss if you are breast feeding, however 333 healthy eating plan is fine and no diet should be used when you are pregnant.

Reducing your starchy carbohydrate intake and losing weight can help to improve many health conditions. If you are on medication, as you lose weight, you may find you can reduce your medication or even stop it in full.

High blood pressure, high cholesterol or pre or existing diabetes are all health conditions that by using Boossh and losing weight can make a remarkable difference to your overall health.

We do recommend you visit your GP on a regular basis so they can adjust your medication as you lose weight. This will also motivate you as you start to see your health condition improving.

If you have Type 2 diabetes, Boossh recommends that you follow the 3 a day plan option. There are extra added foods that are permitted, clearly marked with the letter "D"

  • Helping people assess their weight and decide on a realistic healthy target weight
  • Focus on long-term lifestyle changes rather than a short-term, quick-fix approach
  • Addressing both diet and activity
  • Using a balanced, healthy-eating approach
  • Recommending regular physical activity (activities that can be part of daily life)
  • Include some behaviour-change techniques, such as keeping a diary
  • Providing on-going support.
